"BREATHE" Short Film coming soon

Peace fam, can you believe that I completed my VERY FIRST screenplay!? I almost can’t believe it my self. I have 13 other screenplays sitting in various stages of incompleteness.

Lots of people have asked on social media, on TV, on phone calls in various ways, “what are you going to do with all of this extra time in lockdown?” I can definitely say that the first two week so of it were spent mostly sitting or laying on the couch but I got tired of the stagnation that was beginning to settle into my mind and body. I was afraid of what kind of larva and bacteria might be swimming around in that still energy. So I started writing.

I had a very vague idea that a longer form project might be fun. Still, I was reluctant to put a label on my efforts, knowing that if I said that I was setting out to accomplish something that I had never done, the mere awareness that it was never done before would have paralyzed me. It would have been an irresistible invitation for writers block show up and squat down on the couch next me and eat all of my Doritos. So I didn’t.

No labels. No expectations. Just an blank canvas to let the stagnant energy spill out and find expression outside of the shadows of my subconscious. That’s how the short film “BREATHE” was born.
